How to Increase 5 Alpha Reductase and DHT Naturally by 862%

How to Increase 5 Alpha Reductase and DHT Naturally by 862%

In Dihydrotestosterone by Marcel17 Comments

An increase in 5 alpha reductase is an increase in DHT. When you increase 5 alpha reductase enzymes you increase DHT as well and it works vice versa – increasing DHT will increase 5 alpha reductase (study). The 5 alpha reductase enzymes are what convert testosterone and androstenedione into DHT.

There are a lot of ways you can increase DHT, though being lean, increasing testosterone, being on a calorie maintenance/surplus, and staying away from 5 alpha inhibitors will have the biggest impacts.

Now this may sound like bullshit, how can a man increase 5 alpha reductase and DHT naturally by 862%? Well by looking at scientific experiments and studies and combining everything that increases 5 alpha reductase and DHT in the short-term. That’ll get you around a 862% increase, depending on how lean you are, how many calories you’re eating, what your testosterone levels are, where you are in life, and even how accurate the scientific experiments and studies are.

How to Increase 5 Alpha Reductase and DHT Naturally by 862%

  1. Pine pollen – Dose dependent %
  2. Load up with creatine – 56%
  3. Sorghum – 54%
  4. Butea Superba overdose – ~300%
  5. Phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylserine – ~250%
  6. A few cigarettes – ~14%
  7. Coffee – 57%
  8. Lift some heavy weights – 59%
  9. Sprint – 62%

Total of a 862% increase.

Drink a cup of coffee, go for a short gym session of heavy lifting, then do a few sprints. On the way back home smoke a few cigarettes. When you get back home supplement with pine pollen, sorghum, creatine, phosphatidylcholine, and overdose on Butea Superba.

This protocol is probably not too sustainable and I don’t know how well it’ll work long-term. But in the short-term and every now and then this protocol will increase 5 alpha reductase and SKYROCKET your DHT to the natural limit.

You definitely want the core stuff nailed down for this protocol to be most efficient – high testosterone, staying away from 5 alpha inhibitors, and being lean.

Pine Pollen – Dose Dependent %

Pine pollen is the only natural supplement/herb that has actual androstenedione and other androgens in it.

Examine says pine pollen contains Vitamin D3 at 200ng/g (8 IU per gram) while the active hormone 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D is at 10-300ng, Testosterone (80ng/g), epitestosterone (110ng/g), and androstenedione (590ng/g).

These 2 studies confirm this (study 1) (study 2).

Now the availability of these androgens in pine pollen is not known. 590ng/g of androstenedione is a good amount though. Even if a fraction of that is available for the body to use, that would equal in a lot of DHT production from 5a-androstanedione.

This study says – pine pollen is an attractive agent with potential to reduce aging and attenuate age-related diseases in humans.

This study says pine pollen has some antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in the body.

Load up with Creatine – 56%

Creatine is well known to increase 5 alpha reductase and DHT. There are a lot of studies and experiments done on it’s effects on DHT. One of the most popular ones found that creatine increases DHT by 56% after a week of loading.

“After 7 days of creatine loading, or a further 14 days of creatine maintenance dose, serum T levels did not change. However, levels of DHT increased by 56% after 7 days of creatine loading and remained 40% above baseline after 14 days maintenance (P < 0.001).

“The ratio of DHT:T also increased by 36% after 7 days creatine supplementation and remained elevated by 22% after the maintenance dose.”

Sorghum – 54%

Sorghum is a grain that’s not so well known in America or Europe, but in the middle East and northern Africa sorghum is a staple grain of their diet.

This study found that sorghum significantly increases the 5-a reductase enzymes (by 54%!!).

Butea Superba Overdose – ~300%

Butea Superba is a herb commonly used in Thailand to treat erectile dysfunction.

This study found a case of hyperandrogenemia (excessive levels of androgens in the body) due to ingestion of Butea superba. The patient was a Thai single male, aged 35 years, without any underlying disease. He reported a feeling of increased sexual drive after using Butea Superba.

Laboratory investigations were performed which showed increased dihydrotestosterone (1512 pg/mL, reference value 250–990 pg/mL). Then one week after he stopped using the herb, the patient had no feeling of increased sexual drive and dihydrotestosterone had decreased to normal level.

Assuming he had a normal DHT level in the middle of the range – around 500-600 pg/ml, then his DHT level shot up to 1512 pg/ml, that would be a 3 fold increase (about 300%).

Phosphatidylcholine and Phosphatidylserine – ~250%

Phosphatidylcholines are a class of phospholipids that incorporate choline as a headgroup.

“Phosphatidylcholine increased the activity of the partially purified 5 alpha-reductase about 2.5 fold.”

“Phosphatidylserine also enhanced the activity to an extent identical for phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidic acid and lysophosphatidylcholine were stimulatory to lesser extents.”study.

A Few Cigarettes – ~14%

Now to be clear I’m not recommending anyone smoke cigarettes since they have so many serious health downsides. Cigarettes do increase testosterone, DHT, free testosterone, and all androgens though. The increase in overall androgens from smoking cigarettes is 10-15% in the studies and experiments out there.

A legit experiment here measured the androgen levels in 1241 randomly sampled middle-aged U.S. men.

“Compared with nonsmokers and independent of relative weight (body mass index) and age, cigarette smokers had increased serum levels of DHEA (18% higher, P = 0.0002), DHEAS (13% higher, P = 0.0007), cortisol (5% higher, P = 0.01), androstenedione (33% higher, P = 0.0001), testosterone (9% higher, P = 0.009), DHT (14% higher, P = 0.004), and SHBG (8% higher, P = 0.004).”

Coffee – 57%

Coffee is one of the most abused stimulants. At least it increases testosterone and DHT though.

In this experiment 800mg of caffeine increased testosterone by 19%.

In one experiment coffee increased DHT by 57%.

Get some coffee here.

Lift Some Heavy Weights – 59%

You know that good feeling after throwing around some heavy weights or popping a set of muscle ups. Well that feeling comes from the increased DHEA and DHT.

In this study 2 weeks of resistance training increased DHEA by 58% (432±26 at baseline, 682±31 pg/μg protein) and increased DHT by 59% (6.2±0.9 at baseline, 9.8±1.4 pg/μg protein).

“In addition, significant correlation was seen between percentage change of muscular DHEA and DHT levels (r=0.721, P<0.001).”

“Furthermore, 5α-reductase protein expression was significantly correlated with muscular DHT level (r=0.887, P<0.001).”

Sprint – 62%

Sprinting leads to a even bigger increase in DHT than does lifting heavy weights or doing muscle ups.

“Significant elevations from preexercise to 5 min postexercise occurred in the levels of total testosterone (P = 0.002), free testosterone (P = 0.001), and DHT (P = 0.022).”

“The highest average sprinting cadence across an individual sprint bout was associated with changes in free testosterone (r = 0.697, P = 0.006), DHT (r = 0.625, P = 0.017), and total testosterone (r = 0.603, P = 0.022).”study.

And there’s your protocol that will increase 5 alpha reductase and DHT by about 862%.

DHT Manual Discounted

The DHT Manual is the world’s FIRST and GREATEST DHT program.

There’s not a single program out there on increasing DHT naturally. When a new program on increasing DHT naturally will come out it will just be a spin-off of this program.

That’s because the DHT Manual has everything there is out there. I ensured this myself by going through every single DHT study and experiment out there. This is the most complete program on increasing DHT naturally. Unless some revolutionary new research with actionable steps comes out (it won’t for at least the next 50 years) then this will remain the most complete and greatest program.

I’m not good at writing the type of stuff that’ll play with your head and get you to invest in this program, so I’ll just tell you directly without any fluff or marketing tactics – I put everything into this program and this is the world’s greatest DHT program. You have my word on that – if the DHT Manual is not great just tell me and I’ll refund you 100% of your money.

What is your thoughts on Jiaogulan tea and test/DHT? It increases insulin sensitivity plus it doesn’t seem to be estrogenic like most teas are.

  2. toni

Whats are the strongest dht supplements ranking? And are phospatdistelrine increase dht? Because its made Form soy and so is known for full oft estrogen

Milk cheese and other milk products also increases DHT.
Increasing DHT will cause and speed up male pattern balding if one is prone to it.

What is your experience with Pine pollen and DHT? Did you experience a substantial boost in libidio with Pine pollen?

    1. Author

I haven’t used it yet. Tyler uses the powder from Lost Empire herbs and says its very similar to taking the steroid androsterone but milder. That would mean decreased water retention & other stuff associated with lower estrogen, and androgenic mental effects (calm, self-assured, no anxiety).

      1. vks

Will take Pine pollen inhibit natural testosterone and DHT production? I tried pine and got a great boost but I’m worried it may slow my natural hormonal production if i keep taking it every day.

Is it safe to take all of these together? If so should I cycle any of them?

Shunning foods like avocado and promoting cigarettes? This article is idiotic.

  8. Erik Pålshammar

In the sprint study 62 stands for the correlation coefficient not the change in DHT. In the sprint study it says: 6.2±0.9 at baseline, 9.8±1.4 pg/μg protein, are you sure that the numbers are baseline and then post training? If that is the case I think they should have expressed it a bit clearer in the study instead of saying x.x baseline, x.x pg/ug protein, at first I interpreted it like it was first serum levels of dht, then tissue levels of dht or something because the units are only mentioned in the post training levels of dht and not in the baseline levels, if I have interpreted it correctly.
