How to raise DHT levels

3 Unorthodox Ways to Raise DHT Levels

In Dihydrotestosterone by Marcel3 Comments

By now you know what DHT is, what it does, why its great, how to raise DHT levels naturally, foods that increase DHT, and my DHT all out protocol.

Being lean is probably the single greatest thing you can do to raise DHT levels, as fat metabolizes DHT to a less potent form, increases aromatase activity, increases cortisol, and lowers testosterone.

I went a little extreme and found some more ways to raise DHT levels naturally. Not the typical stuff like getting lean, staying away from 5ar inhibitors, and enjoying a block of butter. I found some unorthodox ways to raise DHT levels.

3 Unorthodox Ways to Raise DHT Levels

  1. Get sick
  2. Don’t use any herbal supplements
  3. Spike your insulin

Get Sick

Why the fuck would you want to get sick? You wouldn’t. A runny nose, headaches, sneezing, and all that is annoying and throws you off.

Well there’s a good thing about getting sick, and I’m not talking about having an excuse to lay down and not hustle. You see the old saying, “there’s always some good in bad,” might be legit.

Being sick increases 5 alpha reductase so it’ll raise DHT levels. Now you’re probably thinking the trade-off through – get sick and feel like shit but raise my DHT levels or just stick to creatine…

That’s up to you. Now when I get sick at least I’ll know that it’ll raise DHT levels.

This is the study – greater conversion of testosterone to 5 alpha-dihydrotestosterone, reflecting increased peripheral 5 alpha-reductase activity in nude mice treated with high doses of cyclosporine A.

Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant drug widely used in organ transplantation to prevent rejection. It reduces the activity of the immune system by interfering with the activity and growth of T cells.

It suppresses your immune system just like getting sick does.

“Following cyclosporine A (CsA) immunosuppressive therapy in kidney grafts, increased body hair growth (hypertrichosis and/or hirsutism) without significant variation in normal circulating plasma androgen levels (as observed in idiopathic hirsutism) has been reported by several authors. Other authors have described increased hair growth in nude mice treated with CsA.”

“After 1 h of incubation, 5 alpha-DHT and other 5 alpha-reduced products formed were separated and quantified using a reverse-phase chromatography column fitted to a flow-through radioactivity detector.”

“5 alpha-DHT formation was found to be increased in the treated groups.”

“In addition to 5 alpha-DHT, enhanced formation of delta 4-androstenedione (delta 4), 5 alpha-androstan-3 beta,17 beta-diol (3 beta-diol) and 5 alpha-androstan-3 alpha,17 beta-diol (3 alpha-diol) were also observed in the treated groups.” study.

Don’t Use Any Herbal Supplements

There’s some herbal supplements out there that actually work somewhat. 99% of them won’t do jackshit, some will even mess the case up even more.

The thing with a lot of herbal supplements is that they’re filled with extra bullshit like lead. Well some other extra bullshit that’s in there can increase aromatase and lower DHT.

“The docking results revealed six strongly docking compounds in Echinacea, three from milk thistle (Silybum marianum), three from Gingko biloba, one from Sambucus nigra, none from maca (Lepidium meyenii), five from chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus), two from fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), and two from Rhodiola rosea.”

“There were numerous compounds that docked strongly with the estrogen receptor: Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) had a total of 26 compounds strongly docking to the estrogen receptor, 15 with wild yam (Dioscorea villosa), 11 from black cohosh (Actaea racemosa), eight from muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides or P. uncinatum), eight from red clover (Trifolium pratense), three from damiana (Turnera aphrodisiaca or T. diffusa), and three from dong quai (Angelica sinensis).” – study.

The study found that compounds from men’s herbal supplements exhibited strong docking to the estrogen receptor.

“Gingko biloba had three compounds, gotu kola (Centella asiatica) had two, muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides or P. uncinatum) had eight, and Tribulus terrestris had six compounds.”

Fucking shit-heads jamming all kinds of chemicals and bullshit in there and in everywhere.

Spike Your Insulin

Insulin is highly anabolic and that’s why bodybuilders inject it up their ass.

Insulin stimulates liver glucose uptake (study), so all that stuff goes straight into your muscle. Bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger used to spike their insulin post workout since that’s when the muscle is depleted. Post workout is a good time to spike your insulin.

That’s not what got my attention though. What got my attention is that insulin increases 5 alpha reductase, so it’ll raise DHT levels.

“Insulin increases the expression of 5α-reductase type 1 mRNA via Akt signalling.” – study.

“In vivo, insulin is capable of stimulating testosterone production and, simultaneously, of inhibiting SHBG concentrations in both normal weight and obese men.”study.

The way you spike your insulin is..

  • High starch, low fiber. White rice is a perfect example.
  • High glucose, not fructose. Fructose gets stored in the liver so it won’t spike insulin.

That’s about it. The greatest way to raise DHT levels is to get my custom testosterone plan and from there I’ll set you up to be a mad DHT production machine.

Brown rice is, white rice isn’t. Its the bran in rice that inhibits 5ar. White rice doesn’t have it.

If Insulin spikes DHT and DHT has positive effects on Insulin Sensitive (opposing Insulin resistance), I assume that most men who get Insulin Resistance/ Diabetes have androgen issues due to bad diet (consuming 5AR inhibitors and estrogenic foods by means of a random or “healthy” diet high in herbs and veggies.

Now my question in order to maximize DHT, is fasting a good strategy or is 3-4 meals per day better because of insulin spikes increasing DHT, obviously the diet would be one of DHT and 5-AR promoting foods and avoiding all 5AR inhibitors.

Great site btw. You`re probably one of the most scientific, insightful and down to earth guys in the entire health and fitness industry!
